Trusting Social is a Fintech and AI company that pioneers alternative credit scoring for emerging markets using telecom data and other new data sources. We aim to provide 1 billion credit scores to the unbanked consumers who currently do not have access to formal credit.
We are growing at a break-neck speed, expanding rapidly to 4 new markets in 2017, 5x growth in team size and 10x in market coverage.
In Vietnam, Trusting Social currently provides credit scores to 60 million Vietnamese consumers. Our customers include some of the largest banks and consumer finance institutions (FIs) in Vietnam. Having commercialized our solution in Vietnam, we are now expanding to other Asian markets including Philippines, Indonesia, India, Thailand and Bangladesh.
Trusting Social is comprised of Ph.D. data scientists from Stanford Research Institute, Microsoft, IBM Research etc., and banking leaders from Goldman Sachs, Credit Suisse, Standard Chartered and Barclays. We are looking for a Senior recruiter to help us achieve this aim.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
* Search, evangelize and recruit the top 1% talents in Big Data, Machine Learning, Data Analyst, and Web/Mobile development for our Indonesia, Australia, and India teams
* Collaborate with Data Science and Software Engineering teams to deeply understand hiring needs globally
* Source qualified candidates, review resumes, and pre-screen candidates while moving the interview process forward in a timely manner. Drive offer negotiation and approval
* Build talent pipeline and keep long-term meaningful relationship with potential candidates through technical communities, events and groups
* Help us continue to improve our ability to hire, qualify, assess and close
* Be a knowledgeable, hands-on full lifecycle recruiter across a variety of deeply technical roles
* Be an ambassador for Trusting Social. You’ll often be the first Trusting Social people speak with, so you need to be great at understanding their motivators and determining if they’re an initial fit with the organization
* Sell Trusting Social to potential Trusting Socialers; whether via telephone interview or a face to face meeting, you are responsible for getting people excited about us and making sure that they understand our culture and organization
* Create amazing experiences. You will make sure that potential Trusting Socialers are meeting the right interviewers and we’re looking after them at every stage of the process. We want to ensure that each candidate comes away with a positive experience with us
* Articulate the risks and benefits of each hire. From the first time you speak with a potential Trusting Socialer, you are assessing their strengths and weaknesses so that we can make informed hiring decisions. We take risks, to be sure, but it’s your job to make sure we know exactly what those are for each potential hire.
* Be comfortable advising the management about hiring decisions, as you’ll play the role of hiring manager as well as recruiter
WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE
* 5+ years of sourcing or recruiting top 1% talents in software engineering, data analytics or financial services for top technology teams in Indonesia (Cermati, Mailbird, 41studio, ColorLabs, Tokopedia, etc.)
* Strong connection with Indonesian talents educated from top universities in the world
* Good understanding of Big Data technology (Hadoop, Spark), Machine Learning, web and mobile development and can pre-screen candidates. Technical background is preferred
* Passion about recruiting, about people and about making recruitment a strategic differentiator to your employer
* Demonstrated experience in technical recruiting and sourcing
* Experience working in an innovative, quality-focused and fast-paced in-house recruiting environment
* Team attitude. It takes a village and we are not looking for lone rangers.
* Great rapport-building and interviewing skills
* The mindset that you are part of a consultative and strategic business function and not transactional order-taker
* Strong understanding of Web 2.0/social networking and its impact on/usefulness for recruiting
* Demonstrable ability to build and maintain strong people networks
* Experience using creative methods to source highly sought-after after technical talent

* Fanatical belief in the power of software and technology as tools for social change
* Proficiency in English is required. Education in the US/Europe is preferred
