Your Key Responsibilities

  • Financial management of Dept. P&L including oversight of revenue recognition, financial reporting, forecasting, and process compliance.
  • Review and approve client budgets; upload properly into financial system
  • Partner with account teams in pricing client proposals, responding to Requests for Proposals/Information and developing budgets (with oversight).
  • Facilitate negotiation of client and vendor contracts between clients/vendors, account staff/senior management and legal department, including full review of all business terms (with oversight).
  • Ensure written client agreement is obtained (via contract, letter of agreement, signed scope of work, etc.) for all work and are appropriately archived and classified.
  • Assist Client Service Team with monthly project budget to actual tracking and other required client reporting • Coordinate data collection for client audits.
  • Communicate with account team regarding budgets, billing and accounts receivable issues of their clients.
  • Analyze monthly financial statements for accuracy and explain significant variances to budget or forecast.
  • Develop annual operating budgets and maintain accurate quarterly projections.
  • Provide senior management with monthly financial package describing results to date, forward projections compared to budget and commentary around noticeable trends.
  • Prepare management reports, identify and communicate areas of concern and suggested improvements to account staff and management (e.g., client profitability, utilization, over/under service, missing time,and revenue risk).
  • Prepare revenue and operation expense plans.
  • Capital expenditures/cash needs planning, forecasting and monitoring.
  • Review monthly fees for accuracy and compliance with VMLY&R Revenue Recognition policy.
  • Review time and expense writeoffs and unbilled WIP.
  • Accountable for timely and valuable AR collection status commentary and liaison with Accounts Receivable.
  • Provide timely analysis and advise the Management on the company’s financial management issues; ensuring that the company meets its commitment to financial accountability & transparency.
  • Directs preparation of budgets, reviews budget proposals and prepares necessary supporting documentation and justification. Prepare detailed financial analysis and projections at the project and business unit level.
  • Advises management on desirable operational adjustments, identifying trends and recommends improvements accordingly.
  • Act as an advisor to our Client management team for all commercial matters related to budget, billing, collection, direct expenses and profitability
  • Review and ensure proper accounting, statutory and fiscal standards are complied.
  • Review, understand and ensure WPP global policies incorporated into local country/company policies.
  • Manage and becoming the SOX Controller to ensure SOX control code were implemented and complied.
  • Partnering with business lead to drive and achieve business strategy, maintain brand profitability, pricing, forecasting and planning process, other ad hoc project related to commercial & finance
  • Generate Financial Report (PL Statement, Balance Sheet & CF Report) monthly, quarterly, semester & yearly
  • Generate & report all corporate taxes to the Tax Office according to the associate reporting period.


Who We are Looking for

  • Min. Bachelor's degree in Finance, accounting, or economic major
  • Min 3+ years in same position, & min eight years' experience in finance department
  • Good analytical skills, negotiation skills, business orientation and ability to influence the business partners
  • Experienced with management/financial reporting as well as the financial analyst
  • Proficiency in MSoffice
  • Have ability to maintain relationship both externally and internally, team player and result oriented
  • Ability to communicate is English (written & verbal)
  • Dedicated, handson and results-driven

WPP today announced the creation of a new agency, VMLY&R, uniting two leading brands to deliver a contemporary, fully integrated digital and creative offering to clients on a global scale.

The new agency will be led by Global Chief Executive Officer Jon Cook, who is currently Global CEO of VML. Jon will report to Mark Read, Chief Executive Officer of WPP. David Sable, former Global CEO of Y&R, will continue to support Jon, VMLY&R and its clients as Non-Executive Chairman as he transitions to a new role in WPP.
